1st Haircut

Joshua got his first haircut the week after Christmas. He did amazing! I was shocked at how well he did, no tears, no fits, nothing at all. He was such a trooper, though as you will see in these pictures he was clearly not happy.

Saguaro East and Bear Canyon

The day after Christmas we took a much needed hike in Saguaro National Park. This was our first visit to the park, but it certainly won't be our last - so much beauty!

On New Year's Eve, we took a hike along the Bear Canyon Trail.

Outings like this are almost enough to make me like Tucson. ;-)

Christmas Morning

I was not a very good Christmas morning picture taker, mostly because I just wanted to be in the moment rather than worrying about taking pictures. But I did manage to get a few.

 He had this bow on his bottom for most of the morning.

Week Before Christmas

We spent Thanksgiving with some friends from John's work who have a son a few years older than Joshua. They blessed us with several of their son's toys that he no longer played with which I decided to give to Joshua during the week before Christmas to prepare him for opening presents on Christmas morning.

This last gift was a remote controlled train and tracks. Joshua absolutely loves it and has been wanting to play with it every day.
