These pictures are from September 17th. The flap book (first 2 pictures) is from Grace and it is one of his absolute favorites, seriously, he wanted me to read it and the other flap book she gave us 5 times in a row!

 These pictures are from September 12-29th. Joshua is now able to use the walk feature of the cars and walk across the room while holding on to the back. The school bus car is actually his favorite - thank you Wendi! I don't have as many pictures with it because we actually took away half of his toys that light up and play songs (as well as a few others) to see if it would help calm him down. He has it back now, which makes him very happy!

I am hoping to have a chance to write a follow up to my post about sleep issues soon - this week just hasn't given me the opportunity yet. But just a note, I was not offended by any of the comments or advice. We are doing so much better and dare I say it Joshua has actually been sleeping through the night for several nights (with the exception of last night which I think was because he had to get 2 shots yesterday at the doctor). The turnaround is truly miraculous and I believe an answer to prayer. To those who have been praying for us, thank you!!!!

And now finally some pictures. I will probably do several catch up post of just pictures. These are from September  8-11th. We have some serious drool action due to teething, which was actually way more apparent in these pictures.

One Month!

I am a few days late on this, but wanted to commemorate the day anyways. We have now been a family of three for one month. It is hard to believe. It still doesn't feel entirely real to me. I have this feeling that at any point I am going to be told "gig's up, but glad you enjoyed yourself." That probably sounds strange to a lot of people, but when you wait for a child as long as John and I did, it is a pretty common feeling. To celebrate, I thought I would finally post our airport pictures. One month ago (plus a few days), we stepped off the plane and began our lives together. We are beyond blessed to have JoonSeo as our son.

I do have a follow up to my last post on the sleep issues, which was really about grieving not sleep. The sleep struggles were really a symptom of the problem and not the underlying issue. I was actually very discouraged afterward and just had to take a break from blogging and being on the computer, not so much because of the responses I received here, but from some I received in other places where I had posted about our struggles. Then I kept wanting to post a follow up, but didn't want to post a response in haste before getting some perspective on everything. That said, things have improved quite a bit as Joshua has become a little more comfortable with us.
